Ernie Z. Frausto Joins EchoLight Studios in Key Executive Post
Dallas, TX (PRWEB) August 19, 2013 -- EchoLight Studios announced today the appointment of entertainment industry veteran Ernie Z. Frausto as Chief Operating Officer, reporting directly to EchoLight CEO, Rick Santorum.
Throughout his career Frausto has worked with acclaimed creatives and high quality entertainment and inspirational content. He has served as Executive Producer, Distributor, or Studio Executive affiliated with thirteen theatrical feature motion pictures (including two Academy Award winners), several Emmy Award winning television series, scores of critically acclaimed 4-Dove Approved Family Friendly direct-to-DVD programs and multiple Super Bowl aired and Clio Award winning commercial spots.

Ernie’s role at EchoLight spans the direct leadership of all aspects of the distribution, marketing, sales, licensing, public relations, social media, operations, as well as oversight of the finance and business affairs for the studio’s in-house productions, co-productions and acquisitions.

Ernie’s most recent assignment was President of NEST Family Learning, best known as the award-winning producers and distributors of the world’s largest and finest Animated New Testament and Hebrew Bible DVD series, The Animated Hero Classics made-for-television DVD series, and The Swan Princess motion picture series. Under his leadership NEST has expanded into Home Education curriculum, e-Commerce, specialty retail, digital delivery, broadcast, DRTV, mobile Apps, and globally into over 125 countries.
Also prior to joining EchoLight, Ernie served as President & COO of Lyrick Studios (PBS’ Barney the Dinosaur and PBS’ Wishbone the Reading Dog), COO of John Dykstra's Special Visual FX house Apogee Productions, and COO of Sam L Grogg's specialty feature film distribution and production venture, FilmDallas Pictures.
In addition to his years of marketing, sales, distribution and production experience, Frausto brings to EchoLight strategic foresight coupled with both entrepreneurial and corporate executive management experience which began with his tenure as Senior Manager in the Business Consulting Group of Arthur Andersen’s Global Media and Entertainment division, based in Southern California.
