ESHA Research to Showcase Nutrition Labeling Software Suite at IFT 2015
Salem, OR (PRWEB) June 20, 2015 -- At this year’s IFT Show ESHA Research will showcase their suite of nutrition analysis and labeling software products including the Genesis R&D Food Formulation & Labeling software.
The program features a watermarked version of the proposed FDA nutrition facts label and visitors at the show will be able to view first-hand the changes that are likely coming down the pike.
“Any time the FDA makes a change, we incorporate it into the program,” said Josh Luth, Product Manager at ESHA Research. “We want to be able to release an update as soon as the new labels are finalized. Right now there is a demo label that shows the new format and the updated nutrient changes, including the contentious ‘added sugar’ requirement.”
In addition, ESHA Research will be demonstrating the new Genesis R&D Supplement Formulation & Labeling software.
“The new Supplements program is an offshoot of the well-known Genesis R&D Food Analysis and Labeling Software, but completely rewritten for the supplement industry,” said Luth.
“We’ve taken input from industry leaders and put together a single-source solution that will help users simplify all aspects of supplement creation,” he said. “For instance, the program will greatly reduce, or even eliminate, the need to rely on spreadsheets and hand calculations.”
“Like its predecessor, this software automatically creates regulatory-compliant labels and ingredient statements. In addition, it offers unique features such as the calculation of shelf-life overages and formulation by active components,” Luth added.
Visitors to the ESHA Research booth #1027 will be able to demo both programs and experts will be on hand to answer any questions.
