Etymotic to Bring its State-Of-The-Art Hearing Protection to the 2017 WGI Percussion and Winds World Championships in Dayton, OH, April 20-23rd
Elk Grove Village, IL (PRWEB) April 17, 2017 -- This week, Etymotic Research, an innovator in hearing wellness solutions, will bring its high-fidelity hearing protection to the 2017 WGI Percussion and Winds World Championships.
WGI Sport of the Arts is the world's premier organization producing indoor color guard, percussion, and wind ensemble competitions. The non-profit youth organization is called the “Sport of the Arts” because it brings music to life through performance in a competitive format. Now entering its 40th year, there are more than 36,000 participants at the regional level, and more than 12,000 participants will attend this year’s World Championships.
Thanks to the efforts of Etymotic, more musicians are protecting their hearing with Etymotic’s high-fidelity earplugs. Etymotic’s high-fidelity earplug products are configured to replicate the natural response of the ear canal so that when sound enters the earplug, it is reproduced unchanged, the same as the ear would hear it, only quieter. Etymotic’s earplugs also improve musicians’ ability to hear their own instrument and their blend with others, and reduce ear fatigue commonly associated with noise exposure.
Also featured at WGI is Etymotic’s Adopt-A-Band program, which has successfully protected the hearing of thousands of young musicians while teaching them about hearing wellness at an early age. The program’s mission is to ensure that music students, music educators, parents and performing musicians take proactive steps to preserve their hearing.
