European Federation of Bottled Waters announces 2014 social media award
Bath, Somerset (PRWEB UK) 1 April 2014 -- Following the success of the 2012 EFBW Awards, the European trade association is again asking its National Association members to submit their initiatives and campaigns to demonstrate best use of social media platforms in communication with stakeholders and consumers.
EFBW president Hubert Genieys said: “We are delighted to partner with FoodBev Media to draw attention to the excellent social media communication work carried out by the National Association members of EFBW.”
EFBW Secretary General, Patricia Fosselard, said: “The European Federation is responsible for representing all types of packaged waters across Europe and we are repeatedly impressed by the creativity displayed by EFBW national associations for promoting the vital economic and environmental role played by the bottled water industry, and the benefits of healthy hydration – to NGOs, governments, the media and, of course, to consumers. We expect the 2014 EFBW Award to celebrate these actions and be a source of inspiration to others, both in Europe and internationally”.

“This year the focus for the EFBW Awards is on best use of social media – from Twitter and Facebook to YouTube and many other popular platforms. The judging panel will be looking forward to reviewing entries from across Europe and sharing the stories and initiatives with our global audience via FoodBev.com, EFBW.eu and our own social media networks including YouTube.”
The EFBW Award is open to entry by each National Association member of EFBW for all social media communication initiatives since 1 January 2013. Entries close on 23 May and at the end of May an international panel of judges will assess each campaign or initiative. All entries will be shown, and the winner announced, at the EFBW Annual Meeting in Istanbul, Turkey in June 2014.
