European Springs & Pressings Ltd Expand to Larger Manufacturing Premises
(PRWEB UK) 20 January 2014 -- Following a significant increase in business demand for their spring development and manufacturing services, European Springs & Pressings Ltd have expanded their manufacturing facility in Cornwall into a larger property, enabling them to meet the growth in demand. It is anticipated that the increased workload and larger premises will enable an expansion to their workforce of an additional 12 people, an increase of approximately 30%, by the end of 2014 compared to the end of 2013.
Managing Director for European Springs & Pressings in Cornwall Michael Gibbs said: “We are naturally very pleased to be in this position, as the economic situation has been hard on many businesses over recent years. Nevertheless, we have experienced a strong growth in demand which we hope will continue, and our expansion into the Treleigh facility will allow us to continue to meet this demand going forwards into 2014 and beyond, so that we can continue to provide our customers with unparalleled customer service.”
The new premises on the Treleigh Industrial Estate in Redruth is currently 40% larger than the original facility at the Indian Queens Industrial Estate in St Columb, and a planned extension which is due to be completed by the end of March 2014 will further expand this to twice the size of the original facility. This space will allow European Springs & Pressings Ltd to operate a fully automated powder coating line and provide room for further growth. In addition the Cornwall plant has received an ERDF Convergence grant of almost £300,000 to secure a total investment of £1 million for new equipment, boosting its production of springs for the automotive sector.
