Event Farm Acquires ClearHart, Set to Launch ‘Internet of Things for Experiences’ Platform
Washington, DC (PRWEB) July 22, 2015 -- Event Farm, an enterprise event technology company whose clients include Google, LinkedIn, Facebook, and AOL, today announced their acquisition of ClearHart, an award-winning full-service innovation agency that specializes in bridging online and offline at live events. ClearHart Co-Founders, Clara de Soto and Erica Mannherz, are joining the company as part of the acquisition.
Founded in 2011 and featured in Entrepreneur Magazine’s 100 Brilliant Companies, ClearHart’s work creating turnkey wearable tech programs at some of the nation’s largest premium events will provide Event Farm with a leading position in the experiential market.
“We’re incredibly excited ClearHart is joining us to lead the launch of our new data-driven experiential products,” said Ryan Costello, CEO & Co-Founder of Event Farm. “Leveraging our best-in-class event management platform, de Soto and Mannherz will be expanding our product offering with a suite of plug-and-play tools that bring the Internet of Things to live events and experiences.”
“We’ll be looking at the Internet of Things differently. Beyond giving objects a digital identity, our new experiential platform aims to give digital identities to user experiences to make live event content relevant and easily recallable in life well beyond the event,” said ClearHart Co-Founder Erica Mannherz. “Event Farm’s broad reach and commitment to innovation is an inspiring place to continue our work building engaging products on and offline.”
With a focus on the relationship between data capture and the User Experience, de Soto and Mannherz are building products that empower attendees to digitally capture events in intuitive, unobtrusive ways, similar to their work creating the SavorBand at the Food Network NYC Wine & Food Festival.
This investment is part of Event Farm’s strategy to provide clients with quantifiable insights into how events impact their broader strategy. Expanding into the Internet of Things, as well as integrating new technologies beyond NFC, RFID, and BLE, cements Event Farm’s position as a forward-thinking leader in the industry bridging technology and events. The acquisition will provide Event Farm’s growing list of Fortune 500 clients with opportunities to utilize these in-event technologies, expanding event marketing ROI.
In addition to its office in Washington, DC, and newly opened office in Los Angeles, the acquisition will expand Event Farm’s presence in New York City.
