Event Shares How the Boy Scouts of America Measure Loyalty with Strategy in Mind
Irving, TX (PRWEB) July 29, 2013 -- This September, the Boy Scouts of America is hosting shared-learning event for others in the non-profit sector. It is a rare opportunity for non-profit directors and executives to examine how the Boy Scouts have customized something called the Net Promoter Score™ as a way to benchmark the experiences of Scouts, parents and volunteers at every level of the organization.
The shared-learning event focuses on lessons and insights gained through launching the “Voice of the Scout.” It will be held September 18-20 in Irving Texas. Speakers include Assistant Chief Scout Executive Gary Butler, City Manager of Irving, Texas Tommy Gonzales and CEO of Kampgrounds of America Jim Rogers. The end result of the event for recipients will be a thorough understanding toward establishing similar experience initiatives.
Embraced in the private sector across industries, the Net Promoter Score is a simple way to identify customer loyalty levels, improve experiences, and identify customers-at-risk. The Boy Scouts have customized its Voice of the Scout program in a manner that not only measures loyalty but also benchmarks mission critical experiences members are having. Since launching over two years ago, the program has offered insight into policy, programs and marketing at the national, regional, area and council levels.
Link to register to the shared learning conference is hosted by the event sponsor, M3 Planning. The page also features more information about speakers and topics: http://www.mystrategicplan.com/nps. Nominal fee of $250 covers airport shuttle, meals and materials.
Overall, the intent of the 2-day event is for BSA to share insights on its membership loyalty program so that other non-profit executives or directors can walk away with the information they need to start their own loyalty initiatives. The purpose is to help non-profits reach the vision of the organization, but relying on feedback of those they serve.
