Huntersville, NC (PRWEB) October 03, 2016 -- The International Society of Sustainability Professionals (ISSP) has accepted Everblue Training, LLC into its new Education Partners Program. ISSP launched the Education Partners Program to coincide with its new Sustainability Professional Certification Program, due to launch in November 2016. Everblue will be among the first in the world to offer exam prep for ISSP’s certification program.
ISSP has conducted extensive research and interviews with sustainability professionals and employers worldwide to understand the knowledge and skills deemed necessary to succeed in a sustainability role. Since 2010, ISSP has worked toward developing a set of standards to:
• Provide cohesion and definition to the emerging profession of sustainability
• Provide credibility for employers and assurance of a standard level of competency of the sustainability professional
• Provide practitioners in the field evidence of competency, furthering their credibility, influence and career advancement opportunities
The results of this research have led to the creation of two certifiable designations: ISSP Sustainability Associate and ISSP Certified Sustainability Professional.
Organizations belonging to the ISSP Education Partner Program will be authorized to offer ISSP Exam Prep for both certification levels and will have opportunities to help shape the program.
The ISSP Education Partner Program recognizes for-profit and non-profit higher education institutions and training organizations that demonstrate a history of high quality sustainability-related educational offerings and employ instructors and course developers who understand and can successfully convey the knowledge, skills and abilities needed to be an effective sustainability professional.
Everblue Training has offered short-course exam prep training in the areas of sustainability, green building, energy efficiency and solar since 2008. Everblue has actively followed the development of ISSP’s certification program and became an ISSP member in 2014. Since then, Everblue staff have participated in the ISSP beta exam process, offering feedback on test questions and testing procedures.
Everblue will debut its ISSP Exam Prep courses in coordination with ISSP’s exam launch. Interested candidates should visit Everblue’s website (http://www.everbluetraining.com) for the most up-to-date information regarding live and online sustainability courses.
