EVERMORE ADVENTURE PARK Hires Steven Shaiken, Former SVP at Universal Parks & Resorts, as its Chief Operations Officer
Pleasant Grove, UT (PRWEB) July 07, 2014 -- EVERMORE ADVENTURE PARK announced today the hiring of Steven Shaiken as its Chief Operations Officer (COO). Mr. Shaiken has over 40 years of experience in the destination-branded entertainment arena having worked for such high profile organizations as Universal Parks & Resorts, Royal Caribbean International, and the Starwood and Hilton hotel chains. In addition, Mr. Shaiken was President of Smithsonian Business Ventures in Washington, DC.
As Senior Vice President of Global Retail at Universal Parks & Resorts through 1999-2005, Mr. Shaiken’s responsibilities covered resorts in Orlando and Japan, which generated merchandise revenues of over one billion USD annually.
Most recently, Mr. Shaiken served as the Executive Managing Director at Adventure World Warsaw where he was responsible for overseeing all aspects of the project, including marketing, revenue management, food service, hotel management, park operations, and staff recruitment. Adventure World Warsaw is a planned $800mm USD mega project – the first of its kind in Central Eastern Europe.

Mr. Shaiken will initially oversee development of EVERMORE’s operational structure and procedures, along with taking an active role in reviewing the park’s design and guest experiences. In addition Mr. Shaiken will oversee corporate sponsorships and will assist in other fund raising activities.

Steven has been married to his wife Debra for 30 years and has one daughter Stephanie, who lives in the greater Los Angeles area. Steven was an active volunteer and board member for a number of charitable organizations such as Shepherd's Hope and Give Kids the World. He and his wife are dedicated to a number of extremely worthwhile causes. He currently resides in Saint George, Utah and Marina Del Rey, California.
