eVisit is a Semifinalist in Spring 2015 Arizona Innovation Challenge
Phoenix, Arizona (PRWEB) May 14, 2015 -- eVisit, a fast-growing telehealth startup, was just announced as one of 25 semifinalists in the Spring 2015 Arizona Innovation Challenge. Chosen from a competitive pool of 138 applicants, semifinalists represent the most innovative, promising early-stage companies across Arizona, and several other states.
The Arizona Innovation Challenge is a bi-annual competition run by the Arizona Commerce Authority (ACA) and awards up to $3 million annually to talented entrepreneurs. Companies span a variety of high-value industries, from IT software, to biological sciences, to aerospace and defense. Winners of the challenge are awarded up to $250,000 to help grow their businesses.
“We’re excited and honored to have made it into the semifinals,” says eVisit CEO, Bret Larsen. “The competition was tough this year, and I think the fact that we made it to the next round says a lot about the strength of our product, our team, and the need for innovative solutions in healthcare.”
After only a year, eVisit has grown from concept to a promising telehealth startup with an impressive team of 10 full-time employees. The startup’s telemedicine platform allows healthcare providers to treat their existing patients remotely via 2-way, high-resolution, secure video chat. It’s the only physician-first telemedicine solution on the market, and is now available via mobile and web app.

Semifinalists may also qualify for the ACA’s mentor program, Venture Ready, which pairs early-stage companies with CEOs who offer guidance on each company’s business strategies.
Winners of the Spring 2015 Arizona Innovation Challenge will be announced in June 2015.
