San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) May 19, 2015 -- On May 14th, The Evolver Network announced Deep Dive, a social campaign to inspire people to care for their local watersheds and global water resources. The Evolver Network (TEN) facilitates knowledge sharing and grassroots activism to catalyze the growth of the global transformational movement. Local Evolver groups will host community gatherings to share wisdom and take action. Deep Dive encourages reflection on water as a symbol of intuition and emotion. The planet’s ocean ecosystem operates in a delicate balance, which human industry is threatening. In a society that breeds isolation, Deep Dive poses the question of how can humanity reconnect to the rich, interconnected life of water.
Media interviews during the campaign will include talks with water engineers, transpersonal psychologists and ocean researchers. For example, writer Liz Cunningham has traveled to Indigenous communities across the world who live along the ocean, to ask what changes they are seeing and how they’re adapting. Through participation and sharing knowledge, together as a global community we have the wisdom to rebalance our relationship with the ocean.
Deep Dive encourages participants to do the Community Resilience Challenge. The challenge provides a toolkit for neighborhoods to self-organize to conserve and care for water. Techniques such as rainwater catchment, placing mulch over a backyard garden, and switching to non-toxic products can preserve and protect a local water system. The Challenge also inspires thousands of citizens, leaders and groups to take action to grow food, conserve energy, reduce waste and build community.
Local Evolver groups can choose to host community events which include panel discussions and rituals such as prayer or storytelling. Deep Dive aims to remind all of the importance of caring for the ocean, which in turn impacts our own well-being.
“It is one of the most magical community days of my life,” said Jacqui Jacquies, an event attendee. “It felt so right being there surrounded by brilliantly progressive minds. Hearing passionate people workshopping strategies toward a more sustainable and peaceful future, meeting new soulmates and dancing under the Oakland moon.”
