Ex’pression College Changes Name
New York, NY (PRWEB) July 08, 2016 -- SAE Institute, a global education provider of industry-focused, hands-on creative media programs, announced that it has received state and regulatory approvals to change the name of its two Ex’pression College California campuses in Emeryville and San Jose to SAE Expression College and SAE Institute, respectively.
With approvals from both ACCSC (Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges) and BPPE (Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education – California) on July 1, 2016, the Emeryville campus was officially renamed SAE Expression College and the San Jose campus was officially renamed SAE Institute.
"SAE Institute purchased Ex’pression College in 2014 with the idea of one day integrating both Emeryville and San Jose into the SAE campus system," said Michael Bottrill, General Manager and CFO, SAE USA. “That time is now and we are proud to incorporate both campuses into the SAE USA family, while continuing to maintain the Ex’pression College name and history at our Emeryville campus.”
From its humble beginnings in the San Francisco Bay area in 1999, the Ex’pression College founders had a vision of preparing passionate individuals with an interest in creative media for careers in the sound and visual arts industries. Uniquely situated close to where industry is located in Silicon Valley, Ex’pression College offers Bachelor's Degrees in Animation and Visual Effects, Digital Film, Game Art and Design, Interactive Audio, and Sound Arts. These same programs will continue to be offered at SAE Expression College in Emeryville. Bachelor's Degrees in Game Art and Design and Interactive Audio will be offered at SAE Institute San Jose.
2016 also marks the 40-year anniversary of SAE Institute. Over the last forty years SAE Institute has expanded upon its original audio concentration and now offers degrees and diplomas in a variety of creative media disciplines including animation, design, film, games, web and mobile worldwide. The integration of both Ex’pression College campuses is another important step in expanding the SAE footprint in the North American region.
