Emeryville, CA (PRWEB) June 05, 2015 -- Ex’pression College will host Ableton Day, an audio production workshop event, at their Emeryville, CA campus on Saturday, June 6. Ableton Day will feature free lectures, live performances, and equipment demos for students, aspiring audio technology professionals, and working pros in the audio and music industry.
“Ableton Day will be the place to be for anyone who lives in the Bay Area who’s looking for new and innovative ways to utilize Ableton Live, Max for Live, and Push in their composition, sound design, production, and performance endeavors,” says Fred Faridian, Campus Director for Ex’pression College Emeryville. “The learning, networking, and relationship-building opportunities will be massive, and registrants will also get chances to learn directly from Ableton’s top Certified Trainers”.
Ableton Day presentations will include:
• “Post Production in Live 9” with Ableton Certified Trainer Ryan Origin – featuring sound design and sound for gaming / 2-3pm (45 minute lecture, 15 minute Q&A)
• “Music Production with Live Performance in Live 9” with Ableton Certified Trainer Lenny Kiser – featuring music production and workflow tips / 3:15-4:15pm (45 minute lecture, 15 minute Q&A)
• “Interactive Audio & 3D Projection Mapping” with Ex’pression College students – featuring the future of audio & visuals / 4:30-5:30pm (45 minute lecture, 15 minute Q&A)
• Live Performance by DeCap (producer for Talib Kweli, Snoop Dogg, Ne-Yo) / 6-7pm
Ableton Day will take place in Meyer Hall on the campus of Ex’pression College, 6601 Shellmound Street, Emeryville. Admission is free and the event is open to the general public but space is limited. RSVP at Expression.edu/Ableton.
