Excel High Offers No-Cost Tuition To Victims Of Fake Online Schools
Plymouth, MN (PRWEB) March 22, 2015 -- With the increase in online educational institutions has come a corresponding increase in high school diploma fraud, and the Federal Trade Commission is warning students that in this endeavor, like in all online shopping, it’s “Buyer Beware.”
There aren’t any online schools that can issue a high school diploma after a single test or just a few weeks of classes. There’s real work involved, and it takes time to complete the classes required by individual states to meet graduation requirements, the FTC reports.
Finding out a diploma is a fake is easy -- the FTC keeps a list of fake diploma mills that is available to all prospective employers, colleges and government agencies looking for fake diplomas.
Any employment background check, educational transcript check or court or probation system check is going to uncover the fake. Unless the online school is accredited, the diplomas they issue aren’t worth the paper they’re printed on.
What was worth the paper it’s printed on is the student’s money, which is gone. Many times along with the institution that issued the bogus diploma.
At least one fully accredited high school is stepping forward to help. Victims of fake diploma mills can contact Excel High School to talk about obtaining free tuition if they produce a fraudulent diploma.

“It is very easy for these scammers to set-up a legitimate looking website, with legitimate sounding credentials to entice students into enrolling into these fake schools, “ he said. “It is very important to do your research and select an online school that is properly accredited by the State Department of Education. When in doubt, call your State Department of Education and also check with the Better Business Bureau. This will help you to ensure that your investment will offer value. Having a fraudulent diploma will always do more harm than good."
Excel will help students attempting to get their tuition payments back. The school has put a team together with the knowledge and tools to draft an effective complaint to the Better Business Bureau, giving students the best chance they have at getting tuition returned.
