Excelera® Specialty Pharmacy Network and Center for Pharmacy Practice Accreditation® Announce Strategic Relationship
Minneapolis, MINN. (PRWEB) December 04, 2015 -- ExceleraRx Corp. and the Center for Pharmacy Practice Accreditation (“CPPA”) jointly announced the creation of a non-exclusive strategic relationship to provide CPPA specialty pharmacy practice accreditation for ExceleraRx members.
CPPA develops pharmacy practice standards and accredits pharmacy practices that meet its accreditation criteria. The Excelera network consists of point-of-care specialty pharmacies owned by health systems and academic medical centers.

Recognizing that their respective missions are complimentary and mutual collaboration will advance the missions of both organizations, Excelera and CPPA entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) focused on collaborating to improve patient care. As part of the MOU, Excelera’s Board approved CPPA as an acceptable accrediting body for purposes of meeting Excelera Network Standards.
The mission of CPPA is to serve the public health by raising the level of pharmacy-delivered patient care services through accreditation of pharmacy practices. CPPA accreditation signifies to payers, patients, and providers that the pharmacy is recognized for an advanced level of patient care, services, quality and safety.
