Exclusive Christopher Radko La Calavera Especial Ornament Now Available

In January 2014, Christopher Radko Gallery owners, Jana Contardi and Jennifer Cook, met with veteran Christopher Radko ornament artist Joseph Walden to begin the process of designing an exclusive re-coloring of the popular La Calavera ornament to be offered only through Christopher Radko Gallery as a limited edition.
"With the re-design of the top-selling La Calavera ornament, our goal was to incorporate a new color palette and design details while keeping with the Latin flair," stated Contardi. After approximately six color revisions and input from the Christopher Radko artists, we feel achieved our goal with this new La Calavera Especial ornament addition," added Cook.
The new Christopher Radko La Calavera Especial skull features a teal background, is accented with rich golds and browns and embellished with glitter and crystals. The name for the new skull ornament, La Calavera Especial, was chosen as a nod to the Latin roots of the "Day of the Dead" holiday designated to honor deceased friends and relatives.
Once the design process was complete, a mold was constructed of the new Christopher Radko Gallery La Calavera Especial ornament followed by a four month production process. Using the same time-honored processes of mouth-blowing glass and hand-painting, the Christopher Radko La Calavera Especial skull Christmas ornament was hand-crafted in Poland and is now available for the 2014 holiday season.
The best selling Christopher Radko La Calavera Skull series is based on the Latin "Day of the Dead" holiday. The first Christopher Radko La Calavera red skull ornament was introduced for the 2012 Christmas season and became an instant top seller. In 2013, Christopher Radko introduced a follow up to the red skull with the La Calavera white skull, which also quickly became a best seller.
