Exclusive: Defence IQ releases Military Flight Training Sector Report 2015

As an exclusive feature of this year’s report, Defence IQ conducted a survey of the flight training community. Findings include:
- More than three quarters (77%) of military respondents indicated their current flight training systems will not be sufficient to meet requirements in the next 10-20 years.
- The need to improve integration of simulated and live flying training was identified as the key priority for the flight training community over the next 10-20 years.
- Almost exactly half of respondents (49%) suggested that 5-15% was the widely accepted attrition rate in undergraduate flying training.
- Situational awareness and decision making was identified as the most important skill to succeed in 5th generation training.
