Executive Panel Provides Insight on Using Technology for Business Growth
Cincinnati, OH (PRWEB) December 01, 2014 -- Recently, at the Leveraging Technology to Achieve Business Success interactive panel held at the Athletic Club of Columbus, three manufacturing leaders admitted that thanks to technology and the integration of the Run-Improve-Grow (RIG) business model, they no longer run their businesses. So what did they mean by this? Certainly, they didn’t just implement a tool and walk away? Or did they?
During the open discussion, panelists Michael Swartz, President & CEO of Lake Shore Cryotronics, Steve Vitale, President of Midwest, and Jim Tennant, General Manager for RBB Systems, went into great detail on how they implemented new technologies using the Run-Improve-Grow business model that have allowed them to get out of the daily run and more closely focused on proactive improvement and future growth.
By getting out of the daily run of their business and allowing their frontline leaders and superiors to run the business, these executives boosted their company’s productivity and improved their processes through the use of technology. The event gave attendees great insight into how these leaders have taken their businesses to a new level by not only looking into new technologies, but also developing a culture of change and empowerment.
The panelists, along with Tim Bankes, V.P. of Technology for Definity Partners, were there to answer attendees’ questions and lead discussion on how to recognize where technology may help solve some of the most challenging business issues. Many topics were discussed including, custom application development, customized reports, ERP optimization, selection and implementation.

Each representative shared their company’s challenges, growing pains, solutions and results they experienced, and are still experiencing, as a result of transforming their business through RIG centric technology.
“Everyone knows that technology plays a significant role in the overall performance of their company. Many are aware that they are not utilizing their technology in the best interest of the company, but few take the time and energy needed to evaluate their current state of operations and determine next steps to get to where they want to go. This event showcased the possibilities and opportunities technology provides to help empower a company’s frontline and grow their business,” said Tim Bankes, V.P. of Technology, Definity Partners.
