Experience Award-Winning Augmented Reality at MOSI for a Limited Time Only
Tampa, Fla. (PRWEB) November 30, 2015 -- MOSI recently added two state-of-the-art augmented reality (AR) experiences from INDE Broadcast AR titled Air, Land, and Sea along with Back to the Jurassic to their collection of interactive exhibits within the Kids In Charge! building. In collaboration with the National Geographic Society, INDE has created dynamic worlds that will allow guests to get closer than ever to a range of animals as they drink, sleep and play in Air, Land and Sea. Witness the life-like world of animals from the plains of Africa to the chilly seas of the Arctic. The Air, Land and Sea experience has been brought to life with National Geographic’s spectacular photography.
Back to the Jurassic is a series of eight augmented reality experiences with some of the world’s favorite dinosaurs animated in brilliantly realistic 3D with sensational ambient sound. The Back to the Jurassic big screen experiences run on INDE's Appshaker Broadcast AR system. Guests can see themselves side by side with a life-sized T-Rex, a pack of raptors or the giant diplodocus.
"National Geographic was first introduced to INDE's Broadcast AR work four years ago with the system they installed in Hungary for our Channel partner. Air, Land, and Sea really brings National Geographic to life allowing the public to experience our brand in a whole new way," said Abigail Bysshe, Director of Museum Partnerships at the National Geographic Society.
INDE, a UK company specializing in interactive and immersive experiences, has created the most realistic 3D animals ever made using AR technology, giving guests the chance to pet a leopard, walk around with penguins and get splashed by an orca in hundreds of locations worldwide.
This augmented reality experience is included with MOSI general admission and free for MOSI members. General admission includes the Meridian Shuttle, an intelligent vehicle that is a 100 percent driverless and electric shuttle; Idea Zone, MOSI’s inventor’s studio, where guests will be able to code a variety of motion-interfacing robots and to navigate mazes; and 3D Printing the Future, which illustrates 3D printing's boundless and mind-blowing potential to reshape how we live, work and play. General admission also includes more than 450 hands-on exhibits.
