Extension Electrical Outlet Box Device Invented by InventHelp Client (OCM-1166)
PITTSBURGH, PA (PRWEB) July 24, 2017 -- Up until the mid-1970s, standard electrical boxes were three inches in diameter. After that, they were changed to a diameter of four inches, which is the standard size today. When working with old boxes, contractors have to increase their size with special extension rings, which can be difficult.
An inventor from Las Vegas, Nev., has invented UNIVERSAL EXTENSION RING ELECTRICAL OUTLET BOX, a device that is used to facilitate the routing of cable or conduit to an existing three or four inch electrical box. "In my personal experience with retrofitting electrical boxes, I have found that converting from a three inch box to a four inch box can be problematic," said the inventor. "I felt that I needed to invent something to make that process easier." Its adjustable design facilitates running cables and conduit to octagonal boxes. Additionally, this invention eliminates the need to form bends or employ additional elbow fittings to complete a modification project.
The original design was submitted to the Orange County office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
