Extensis Unveils Suitcase Fusion 5; Extends the Power of Font Management to Adobe’s Creative Cloud
Portland, OR (PRWEB) July 09, 2013 -- Today, Extensis announced the immediate availability of Suitcase Fusion™ 5, the latest version of the professional-grade font manager which integrates fonts directly into the creative workflow. Delivering powerful new features such as font auto-activation plug-ins for Adobe® Creative Cloud™ and QuickComp™ for fast font mock-ups, Suitcase Fusion 5 provides instant access to the font tools designers need in all the places they need them.
“Part of every professional design workflow, a good font manager provides the power to focus on creativity without adding extra work,” said Chad Slater, Director of Extensis Engineering. “Whether designing for print or the web, Suitcase Fusion 5 is the command center for fonts.”
The Perfect Font Manager for Adobe Creative Cloud and Creative Suite
Suitcase Fusion 5 delivers brand new auto-activation plug-ins for the recently debuted Adobe Creative Cloud applications, including InDesign®, Photoshop®, Illustrator® and InCopy®. Integrated font panels allow designers to instantly preview and activate any font right from Creative Cloud and Creative Suite apps, without switching between applications. Designers can use Suitcase Fusion 5 on more than one machine, as they can with their Creative Cloud subscriptions.
Additionally, with a connection to web font services WebINK and Google® Web Fonts, Suitcase Fusion 5 makes web fonts easy to use in Adobe Applications.
Experiment and Pair Typefaces Faster than Ever
Selecting typefaces that work well together is often the first thing designers do, yet can often be a laborious process of switching between design applications and multiple documents.
With the new QuickComp feature, designers can quickly experiment and pair typefaces directly within Suitcase Fusion 5. Designers can preview fonts side-by-side in print or web templates, or by using simple and clean comparison sheets. Samples can be saved to PDF font proofs for easy sharing. The library of QuickComp templates is set to expand in Suitcase Fusion 5. Selected through user feedback, additional templates will be added as part of a free update. The Smartest Way to Design with Web Fonts
Suitcase Fusion 5 connects to both WebINK® and Google Web Font libraries. Designers can preview and prototype with the ever-expanding collection of over 6500 web fonts available from these services. The collection includes more than 1000 new fonts from WebINK, such as Adelle (TypeTogether), Myriad Pro (Adobe), and Museo Sans (exljbris).
Windows 8 and Modern OS Support
Designed from the ground-up to work on the Mac and PC, Suitcase Fusion 5 can be installed on up to two machines per license. Whether the user is fully up to date, or a few versions back, Suitcase Fusion 5 has broad operating system support. Additionally, Suitcase Fusion 5 adds feature parity between platforms.
