The company is launching a Gourmet Food & Wine pairing where guests have the option to indulge in an exclusive three course gourmet food and wine pairing for lunch.
Tourgoers will start the morning exploring Redwood Sequoia trees in Muir Woods before other tour groups reach the park. The park is home to some of the oldest and tallest trees in the world. After the leisurely walk in the woods, tourists will spend the afternoon relaxing and wine tasting in California’s renowned Napa Valley and Sonoma Valley. Extranomical Tours offers tastings at three family-owned boutique wineries. All the wineries provide friendly atmosphere, beautiful scenery, quality wines and good value. Tasting fees are all included.
For lunch, the tour stops at the historic Sonoma Plaza. Starting June 2016 guests can choose one of two lunch options. The first is to venture out on their own and try one of the many cafés and restaurants located in the plaza. The second option is to upgrade their wine country experience to the next level with a private seated gourmet food and wine pairing experience at a local restaurant. They will enjoy delicious local food paired with a collection of California wines. After being greeted with Sonoma Valley cheeses and sparkling wine, guests may select a course such as tomato bisque, pasta with almond-arugula pesto and grated pecorino romano or grilled salmon with seasonal vegetables and balsamic reduction.
