Eye Designs of Westchester Celebrates 30 Stylish Years of Fitting and Selling Fashionable Eyewear with Trunk Shows and More

Scardale, NY (PRWEB) May 30, 2014 -- Eye Designs of Westchester, the first retail location in Westchester to offer fashionable, sophisticated, and unique eyewear, will host trunk shows on four dates throughout the month of June at its Scarsdale location, in celebration of its 30-year anniversary. Each trunk show will showcase the styles of a prominent eyewear designer. These events are among several planned in celebration of the store’s anniversary.

Eye Designs of Westchester is the brainchild of Sharon Decker, who decided in 1984 that Westchester needed its own fashion-forward designer eyewear retail shop so that consumers wouldn’t have to travel to Manhattan to try and buy the latest styles. Fifteen years later, she opened a second location in Armonk, bringing distinctive eyewear designs and personalized service to the Mid-Westchester and Fairfield communities.

Visitors to the trunk shows can preview and purchase trendsetting merchandise before it is made available to the public at large and have their photos taken wearing the new collections to see how they will look in various styles. They can also be photographed in their own glasses, and the photos will be incorporated into future store promotions throughout the rest of the year.

Families are welcome to come together and have their family eyewear photo taken as well, and all customers will receive a copy of their photograph.

“Eyewear has become an important fashion accessory: an extension of one’s clothing wardrobe, one’s style and taste,” says owner Decker. Today, Decker and her son Harris choose the styles and designs for the store. “Harris joined our team two years ago and he brings a fresh approach to the designers and selections we choose,” adds Ms. Decker.

The trunk shows will be held consecutive Saturdays at the Scarsdale location, from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. with the following schedule of designers:
• Saturday, June 7 - Featured eyewear designer: CHANEL
• Saturday June 14 - Featured eyewear designer: La Font
• Saturday June 21 - Featured eyewear designer: Anne et Valentin
• Saturday June 28 - Featured eyewear designer: Michel Henau & Casanova
Both Eye Designs of Westchester locations offer a large array of additional contemporary and upscale eyewear designers, including: Theo, Caroline Abram, Mykita, Face A Face, Thom Browne, Lindberg, Dita, Gold & Wood, and Salt Optics, among others. They offer styles for kids and adults alike, along with on-premises optometrists.

Eye Designs of Westchester will continue its 30-year anniversary celebration with an end-of-July BBQ for customers and friends featuring giveaways, prizes, and refreshments.
