Faces of Trident, Spring 2015: Trident University International Recognizes Student and Alumni Accomplishments
Cypress, CA (PRWEB) April 29, 2015 -- Trident University International’s (Trident) diverse set of adult learners has made indelible marks in the classroom and in professional life. ‘Faces of Trident’ is an opportunity to highlight some of the accomplishments from the University’s students and alumni.
DONNA BROCK
Command Sgt. Maj. (R) Donna A. Brock is currently enrolled in Trident’s Master of Science in Health Administration program, and up until her retirement in October of last year she had the distinction of being the longest serving enlisted female solider on active duty. She joined the United States Army in 1979 and retired on Oct. 24th, 2014 at the United States Army Medical Command Headquarters (MEDCOM) in San Antonio, Texas. In addition to her MEDCOM position, she was the senior enlisted advisor to the Army Surgeon General, Lt. Gen. Patricia Horoho, and based in the Washington, D.C. area.
DR. DAWN MICHAUX
Dr. Dawn Michaux (Ph.D. in Educational Leadership, Trident Class of ‘08) is a former part-time professor at Trident, Biola University, and the University of Phoenix, and has focused her career on giving back since earning her doctorate. While still in California she started working with her local church to help women in crisis situations, something that she said gave her a sense of purpose. Now living in Florida, Dr. Michaux continues this work at a home for women in need, leveraging her skills and passion to touch the lives of others.
ERIC SESSIONS, JR.
In February of this year, Eric Sessions, Jr. (Master of Science in Information Technology Management, Trident Class of ‘12), currently serving in the United States Navy, was appointed as an information professional officer. He then attended Officer Candidate School in Newport, RI, taking part in the 12-week officer introductory course. He was awarded the “Jack Levitt Leadership Award” for inspirational leadership. Sessions also earned his bachelor’s degree at Trident, graduating magna cum laude. He currently serves on the staff at Joint Special Operations Command.
LORI BRAZFIELD
Lori Brazfield (Master of Business Administration, Trident Class of ‘10) is currently the Director of the Nevada System Sponsored Programs Office, a position she was promoted to within six months of receiving her master’s degree. As part of this role’s duties, she administers $25 million annually in federal and state agency awards for various programs. She is also a member of the Nevada State Board of Education, where she supervises 10 staff members and negotiates federal and state grants and contracts, relying on many of the mediation and leadership skills she honed as a student to be successful
DR. JOSEPH STROUD
Recent doctorate graduate Dr. Joshua Stroud (Ph.D. in Business Administration, Trident Class of ’15) currently works as an investment consultant with Fidelity Investments, assisting clients with the development and implementation of investment strategies and retirement needs. During his time at Trident, Stroud was able to bolster his skillset, allowing him to better educate clients on the mechanics of equity markets, as well as each client’s unique investment desires. With all of the work for his doctorate comfortably behind him, Stroud is focused on his career’s next phase, with the goal of becoming a professor at a research university. In the future he plans to give back by sharing his experiences and insight with current and future doctorate students.
