Fadó Irish Pub Celebrates the St. Patrick’s Day Season Hosting a Variety of Themed Events and River North’s Largest Party
(PRWEB) February 11, 2015 -- River North will never be the same after the best St. Patrick’s Day party in Chicago hits Fadó Irish Pub. The party will be an all day, all night bash, with doors opening at 9:00 a.m. for brunch and some wearin’ of the green. Live music starts at 2:00 p.m. as Donnybrook and Nappertandy take their turns rocking the crowd. The Shannon Rovers Bag Pipers will play throughout the day to bring back memories of the Old Country. Saturday, March 14 is Chicago’s legendary St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Fadó will open its doors open at 7:30 a.m. for European sports including 6 Nations Rugby and English Premier League soccer to kick things off. Donnybrook and Divers are the bands of choice as the Shannon Rovers bagpipers make their appearances as well.

Paddy’s Day Pub Quiz and Guinness Glass Engraving, Wednesday, March 4, 6:30 p.m. - Get your St. Patrick’s Day prep ready by joining us at Fadó for a custom Guinness glass engraving. Stick around for an all-Irish pub quiz night, which starts at 7:00 p.m.! St. Patrick’s Day passes are up for grabs, so even if you don’t know your Irish trivia, it’s a good time to take a guess! It’s a free night and open to the public!
Whiskey Fest, Monday, March 9, from 7:00 p.m. - 9:00p.m. - Fadó Irish Pub will celebrate all things whiskey on March 9. $30 tickets includes passed hors d’oeuvres and unlimited samples of over 30 whiskeys from 7 – 9 pm. Tickets on sale now! [Go here.
Custom Guinness T-Shirt Station, Tuesday, March 10, 6:00 p.m. - Meet us at the pub around 6:00 p.m. to continue your St. Paddy’s Day prep! St Baldrick’s Day, Friday, March 13 at 11:00 a.m - St Baldrick’s charity event is an annual head-shaving event where the community raises money and awareness to help fight children’s cancer. Fun Fact: “craic” is an Irish term meaning good times,” so we like to always say that this event is “great craic for a great cause”. We have a $250,000 fundraising goal and over 100 shavees signed up so far. Go here and find out how you can participate and donate to the cause. St. Patrick’s Parade Day, Saturday, March 14 - Fadó will once again host the largest St. Patrick’s Day party in Chicago, so swing by after the parade to warm up with a toddy or enjoy lunch from full menu, including traditional Irish fare. For those that prefer to be inside on parade morning, doors open at 7:30 a.m. for European sports including 6 Nations Rugby and English Premier League soccer. A full brunch will be offered through 11:00 a.m. Once your bellies are full, enjoy live music all day as Nappertandy, Shannon Rovers Bag Pipers and Diver provide the backdrop to the St. Paddy’s festivities. $10 cover all day.
St. Patrick’s Day, Tuesday, March 17 - The time has come for a little wearin’ o’ the green and raising of a pint. St. Patrick’s Day at Fadó will be an all day, all night cracking good time. Doors open at 9:00 a.m., serving a full brunch until 11:00 a.m. (and a full menu after 11:00). Have the wee ones home by 2:00 p.m., when live music starts and the pub only allows ages 21 and over. The band Donnybrook starts the musical activities at 2:00, while Nappertandy will highlight the evening, taking the stage at 6:00 p.m. The Shannon Rovers Bag Pipers will play throughout the day to elicit the sweet sounds of one of Irelands finest traditions. $10 cover after 2:00 p.m.
