"Twitter is very poorly designed for threading or continuity.”- Guy Kawasaki, Author, The Art of Social Media
FanKave aims to provide a unified experience for sports fans who already use Twitter, messaging, sports news/stats, videos, gifs and play fantasy sports with friends. The Mountain View based company began working on their vision of connecting friends and fans through sports in April 2014. The FanKave app allows users to create private groups (Kaves) with their Facebook friends or phone contacts and talk/chat while keeping up with the social pulse (Twitter/news/Instagram) of live games. Since the initial World Cup launch, FanKave has added support for NFL, NCAAF, MLS, EPL and recently NBA & College Basketball. This month, FanKave launches the first WarriorsWorld public kave.
WarriorsWorld Kave will be hosted by a team of writers & analysts including the popular social media analyst Jordan Ramirez (@JRAM_91) with featured appearances by Tim Kawakami during the Warriors games. Fans will be able to engage in deeper real-time conversation than is currently possible on Twitter. After the game, the WarriorsWorld Kave will provide a curated source of content and analysis from around the web where fans can discuss and continue the conversation.
“We are excited to be part of the FanKave platform that provides an unique experience on mobile and game- time interaction for Golden State Warriors fans”- Rasheed Malek, WarriorsWorld.net
As owners of the public kave, the WarriorsWorld team will also be able to push news articles, tweets, vine videos and stats to their followers to create a mobile space truly dedicated to the Warriors audience. Followers of Kawakami and WarriorsWorld.com are able to join the Kave by simply selecting the Golden State Warriors as their favorite team in the FanKave iPhone app. FanKave plans to launch the ‘public kave’ concept to other NBA cities including Chicago, Oklahoma City, and Portland in the next few weeks along with Alumni Kaves for college alumni to interact around their favorite sports team.
