FantasySalesTeam Ramps Up Sales & Marketing with New Hires
AUSTIN, TX (PRWEB) March 17, 2015 -- FantasySalesTeam, which helps companies of all sizes increase sales results using their unique, team-based gamification platform, today announced the expansion of its executive team with new VP of Sales Glenn Morris and Director of Marketing Sarah Kugler. The appointments follow a series of recent accolades including being named Richardson’s Top Sales Gamification Tool for the second year in a row, Top 40 Selling Tool honors from Smart Selling Tools, and a cover story in Incentive Magazine.
FantasySalesTeam launched in June 2013 with an online platform, modeled after fantasy sports, that turns employees into players and creates engagement through team based competition. The company has signed more than 100 customers to date, including major brands such as HP, Comcast and CenturyLink. A $1.5 million Series A funding round from ATX Seed Ventures and the Central Texas Angel Network closed in January.
“We’re at an inflection point in our growth. We have a solid base of early adopters and a proven track record of increasing sales activity and results. And we’ve done it without a formal sales or marketing organization,” said CEO Adam Hollander. “With Glenn overseeing our sales team and Sarah at the marketing helm, we are now positioned to aggressively expand our footprint to help companies drive improved sales performance.”
Morris has held senior software sales positions for over 30 years with companies including CA Technologies, SAS Institute and Oracle. His background also includes launching, growing and selling a systems integration company focused on document management system and computer graphics workstations. He is currently interviewing to aggressively expand FantasySalesTeam’s sales staff.
“What drew me to FantasySalesTeam is that it’s the first solution that alleviates a pain point I have seen repeatedly in my three decades in sales: 80% of the salesforce disengages from sales contests at some point because they know they have no chance to win against the star producers. FantasySalesTeam’s collaborative, team-based approach solves the problem and, by extension, drives sales,” Morris said. “Joining the company gets me in on the ground floor of a business that is going to redefine sales competitions.”
Kugler has worked in technology marketing since 2010, most recently as head of marketing for managed services provider Dataprise. At FantasySalesTeam she is responsible for all marketing functions as well as creating a marketing automation infrastructure to facilitate activities such as lead management, email marketing, and integration with the company’s CRM system.
“The fact that FantasySalesTeam has gained such traction with virtually no marketing demonstrates that companies are actively looking for this kind of platform,” Kugler said. “The growth will be exponential once we put the right tools and practices into place. I’m elated for the opportunity and have signed up to make a profound impact on our growth.”
Morris and Kugler report directly to Hollander. Both appointments are effective immediately.
