Columbus, OH (PRWEB) April 27, 2015 -- Douglas Fitzpatrick not only sells auto, life and home insurance to help his clients feel secure, but also helps secure homes for animals. On May 9, 2015 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Douglas will be manning a booth at the 2015 Fetch A Friend Adopt-a-thon at the Ohio Expo Center, Lausche Building, 717 E. 17th Ave., Columbus, Ohio.

“I am very excited to be part of this worthy event that will feature hundreds of adoptable pets from more than forty different rescues, shelters and animal welfare groups from around central Ohio,” said Douglas. “I encourage the entire community to come out and adopt a new family member, and give these deserving animals much-needed homes.”

Every pet adopted will go home with a free goody bag full of items to help get the new relationship off to a good start. There will also be raffle opportunities, giveaways, local vendors and onsite pet professionals.

In addition to working in the insurance industry for more than thirty years, Douglas works with HOSPETS, an organization that helps seniors and hospice patients who need help caring for their pets.

“HOSPETS is an outstanding charity, and will also be represented at the adopt-a-thon,” he said. “Many seniors have only their pet as a companion and they want to make sure their pet will be provided for and live a happy life after they are gone.”
