Fashion With a Mission - Night of Spectacles Helps Georgians Receive Vision and Hearing Care
Atlanta, Georgia (PRWEB) April 23, 2014 -- The Georgia Lions Lighthouse Foundation, Georgia's foremost vision and hearing care nonprofit for over 60 years, will host its seventh annual "Night of Spectacles" on May 10, 2014 from 7 -11pm at the Buckhead Theatre. The annual fundraising gala will welcome over 400 attendees for a night celebrating the work and mission of the Lighthouse Foundation.
"'Night of Spectacles' is a vibrant and unique event that supports the Lighthouse's mission to provide equal access vision and hearing services and the impact of eyeglass recycling through fashion design.", says event director Kembra Landry. Made possible by its sustaining Lighthouse supporters, this year welcomes General Parts and Northside Hospital as the events Bright Eyed Benefactor sponsors, along with Georgia Retina, Emory Healthcare, and Allergan as Spectacular Sponsors.
The fashion show features dresses created by fashion design students from SCAD, Clark Atlanta, and GSU, using recycled eye wear and voted on by a panel of judges, including Atlanta based designers Sherie Nevett and Julianna Burton, and special guest actor, Rob Moran. The winning student will receive a $1,000.00 scholarship! Guests can also enjoy live music by the Dean Ewbank Jazz Trio and an alluring auction including a Big Green Egg, African Safari, beach getaways, designer accessories, and tickets to Atlanta festivals and events.

Through partnerships with hearing providers, doctors and clinics throughout the state, the Lighthouse provides this access, touching all 159 counties in the state of Georgia.
