WASHINGTON (PRWEB) January 08, 2018 -- Today Fastcase announced the multimedia debut of its inaugural publication, RAIL: The Journal of Robotics, Artificial Intelligence & Law, available in print, as an eBook, and exclusively within the Fastcase legal research application.
RAIL, which will be published six times a year, is the first title available under Fastcase’s publication imprint, Full Court Press. Annual subscriptions are available for purchase at https://www.fastcase.com/about-rail.
“As society and commerce are navigating uncharted areas related to robotics and artificial intelligence, RAIL will be an essential forum for sharing legal analysis and commentary from experts in these fields, and presenting the legal issues and philosophies that are shaping the future of law in these areas,” said Morgan Morrissette Wright, the publisher of RAIL. “We appreciate the support and involvement from our editors, contributors, and the Full Court Press team for bringing this to fruition.”
“Full Court Press is like Netflix for legal publishing,” said Ed Walters, CEO of Fastcase. “Together with our partners in bar associations and law firms, we’ve built a very powerful platform, running more than 4 million searches per month, and we’re improving it by adding our own original series through Full Court Press. RAIL is our first of many offerings, including legal treatises, deskbooks, forms, checklists, and workflow tools. We’re just getting started.”
The print edition of RAIL also will include an annual subscription to curated collectible items handpicked by the Full Court Press team, but secret until they are delivered.
Legal Journalist Bob Ambrogi said that, for “any legal research company aiming to compete in the big leagues against the likes of Westlaw and LexisNexis, ‘secondary content is the Holy Grail.’ Well, in its own quest for the Holy Grail, Fastcase is today launching a major initiative, a publishing arm called Full Court Press that will produce law journals, legal treatises, deskbooks, forms, checklists and workflow tools.”
The 2018 roadmap for Full Court Press includes co-developing digests, journals, books, and blogs with an array of partners, including state and specialty bar associations, leading law schools, firms, and franchise authors, who embrace Fastcase as a steward of their works.
Legal professionals and researchers in law firms, law schools, and law libraries will benefit from access to the growing library of unique, must-have content published in consumer-friendly media formats. Full Court Press publications provide leading legal analysis with contributions from prominent legal minds and law firm partners across the country.
