FastX Now Displays Remote Linux Desktops from a USB Drive

Engineers and other power users will be able to access their remote Linux desktop from any Windows PC.
Users with multiple machines no longer need to install the FastX client on each machine or pay for more than one copy of the software. After installing FastX onto the USB drive, the product will run from the memory stick. With a few clicks, users are logged into their remote Linux server and either start a new remote Linux desktop session or resume one they launched earlier from another PC.

Using a USB drive also adds security, especially on PCs not owned by the users. With FastX running off the USB drive, nothing gets installed on the host PC and nothing remains when the USB device is removed.
The release of the USB version of FastX follows versions of the high-speed X Windows emulator that were released for Windows, Macintosh and Linux workstations. “FastX is ideal for power users who move between office, home, lab, customer and other computers, but need access to a Linux desktop that is running on a remote Linux host.
