Faux Brick & Beams from Barron Designs Showcased in TLC’s New “Bakery Boss” Show
Deer Park, NY (PRWEB) July 30, 2013 -- TLC’s latest reality series, “Bakery Boss,” transforms long-time local bakeries into thriving businesses for the 21st century. The producers behind the transformation for the pilot episode chose brick veneer and faux wood beams from Barron Designs to create a rich look that was easy to install and maintain.
“We love shows like this that really help change people’s lives. The Friendly Bakery, like Barron Designs, is a long-time family-owned and family-run business so we could really feel for them and the challenges they’ve been facing. Helping the renovation by providing our products was a no-brainer,” said Steve Barron, president of Barron Designs, the parent company of FauxWoodBeams.com and FauxPanels.com.
Buddy Valastro, host of the popular TV show “Cake Boss,” is also the star of “Bakery Boss.” For this series, he’s drawing on his years of experience in running a successful local bakery to assist struggling bakeries in towns across America. On “Bakery Boss” everything is examined from the bakery’s products, how it’s run, the niche it serves and what it looks like.
For the last point, producer Alyssa Grosse chose faux Timber beams from FauxWoodBeams.com and Nailon Red Blend brick siding panels from FauxPanels.com to dress up the location while reinforcing the look of a bakery that’s been a local institution for decades. Both products’ low maintenance surfaces were ideal for a business that makes and sells food.
“While analyzing the business and gathering background material and interviews can take time, we have to do the actual renovations very quickly because each day of the renovation is a day that the business is not operational and that affects the owners’ livelihoods. So bringing in brick masons or extra crew to install a real wood beam was just impossible. The faux beams and brick installed quickly and easily, helping us minimize the down time for the project,” said Grosse.
Even though it’s easy to install and incredibly durable, FauxWoodBeams.com’s timber beams look entirely realistic because they’re made from molds of real wood. That genuine texture adds warmth to any interior design. Even better, it’ll never attract termites or pests.
Similarly, the Nailon brick veneer is molded from real brick and colored to create the look of weathered brick. Visitors assumed that the new wall was exposed brick rather than a veneer. Unlike regular brick, this version won’t dust or need pointing – a huge asset in a bakery.
“Buddy did a great job with the Friendly Bakery. We are proud to help the Viti family and their bakery, especially since it’s a business based in a small New York town like we are. It’s a great feeling to give back to another community-based business,” said Barron.
