Redding, CA (PRWEB) February 10, 2015 -- WISPAmerica, an annual conference and trade show dedicated to the fixed Wireless Internet Service Provider (WISP) industry, today announced that FCC Commissioner Michael O’Rielly will keynote at the WISPAmerica 2015 conference on Tuesday, February 24, 2015. Commissioner O’Rielly will speak about spectrum policy and small business regulatory burdens at the FCC. “I am pleased to speak at WISPAmerica this year as the WISP industry provides a valuable service, the Internet, to rural America,” said Commissioner O’Rielly. “I look forward to meeting those that connect the underserved areas, directly and indirectly, at the event.”
“Commissioner O’Rielly has been a steadfast supporter of small businesses, advocating for elimination of unnecessary regulations and incentives for private investment,” said Chuck Hogg, President of WISPA. “At this watershed moment in the FCC’s history, we are pleased to have such a thoughtful and engaged Commissioner address our members."
Commissioner O’Rielly came to the FCC in 2013 after a long stint on Capitol Hill, where he was a Policy Analyst on Banking, Technology, Transportation, Trade, and Commerce issues.
