FCCU and Houston Texans Search for Stars in the Classroom
Houston, Texas (PRWEB) August 24, 2016 -- Students in the Greater Houston area are invited to nominate their favorite teacher for a chance to win a visit to their school by a Houston Texans player. Winning teachers will also receive a commemorative game ball and home game tickets
This marks the sixth year that First Community Credit Union has presented the Stars in the Classroom program.
Students ages 5 and older in grades K-12 can submit an essay of no more than 500 words explaining why the teacher they are nominating is a star in the classroom. Entries must be received by 5:30 p.m. Oct. 31, 2016, at texanschecking.com/stars.
Entries will be judged by select Houston Texans and FCCU representatives. Two winning teachers will be chosen on five separate dates between September 6th and November 1st. The 10 winning teachers will receive:
-Two tickets to a Houston Texans home game with sideline passes.
-A visit to the teacher's classroom by a Houston Texans player.
-A Houston Texans/FCCU customized game ball with the Star teacher's name.
-An invitation to the Stars in the Classroom banquet.
-A Houston Texans/FCCU co-branded gift given at the banquet.
Students with the winning essays will receive a visit by a Houston Texans player at their school and an autographed Houston Texans football. The school districts of the winning teachers will receive a $500 donation.
FCCU is the Official Credit Union of the Houston Texans and the Personal Choice of Brian Cushing.

First Community Credit Union began as a credit union for teachers in1954 and has been an avid supporter of education ever since. Stars in the Classroom was founded in order to honor and say thanks to just some of the many teachers who have a positive impact on their students every day.
