Feast Festively with IKEA Swedish ‘Julbord’ Buffet Extravaganza

(PRWEB) November 19, 2013 -- IKEA, the Life Improvement Store, invites the public to feast festively at the Swedish Julbord – an all-you-can-eat holiday smorgasbord that will be hosted in the restaurants of all IKEA U.S. stores on Friday, December 13. Julbord is a classic holiday dinner in Scandinavian countries, consisting of several courses of traditional Swedish food and eaten among family and friends. This season, IKEA is inviting everyone to join in the fun at a local IKEA store for a holiday feast that features traditional Swedish food offerings such as Swedish holiday ham, smoked salmon, Swedish style meatballs with lingonberries, and much more. Tickets are available for only $12.99 per person or $4.99 for kids 12 and under (IKEA FAMILY members eat for $9.99 per person or $2.49 for kids 12 and under).
“With the hustle and bustle of the holidays, everybody is rushing around trying to get their homes ready and their holiday shopping done,” said Donna Fitzgerald, IKEA Food Commercial Manager. “The Julbord is a fun way for us to share our Swedish roots with our customers, and give them a break from their holiday shopping!”

• 550 g (19.4 oz) PEPPARKAKA DEG gingerbread dough
• SNÖKUL pastry cutter
Directions
Knead the dough smoothly. Roll the dough ⅛ inch thick and cut figures with pastry cutters. Bake on a baking tray with parchment paper 6–7 minutes at 375°F.
