Webinar presenter, Broadleaf architect Elbert Bautista, will explore the single system connecting customer service, fraud protection, returns, and warehouse inventories. New customer service representative (CSR) features enable effortless order and customer search, allowing the CSR to modify the details of an existing order, assign orders to other users, and override pricing to support competitive price matching. The system flows through the returns process for creating return merchandise authorization (RMA) forms for easy returns processing and inventory management once merchandise reaches the warehouse.
“We’re excited to show off major features of the newest version of our OMS,” stated Elbert Bautista, Software Architect at Broadleaf Commerce. "We’re improving CSR efficiency with a SOLR-powered call center solution, increasing revenue with a ‘Shop as Guest’ flow, and boosting conversions through save-the-sale opportunities that include order validation workflows and fraud checks.”

Event host, Broadleaf engineer Chris Kittrell, will assume the role of a merchandiser within Broadleaf’s administrative interface to demonstrate the framework’s rich catalog management and merchandising capabilities. Those attending the web event will be among the first to experience catalog management within Broadleaf’s improved interface.
“While working to enhance Broadleaf's administrative interface, a large portion of our effort has been focused on two key aspects: scalable organization and simplifying complex interfaces,” stated Chris Kittrell, Software Engineer at Broadleaf Commerce. “The product of our efforts has begun to be realized through interfaces such as the Category Hierarchy and Asset Management interfaces, along with a more intuitive organization of the Product and Category entity forms.”
The event will walk attendees through introducing a new product, creating a product bundle, and updating an existing item. With the new features, like segmenting products, merchandisers will appreciate an accelerated workflow process and will be able to expedite on-site sales across specific product categories.
