Federal Transvaginal Mesh Lawsuits Progress Against Boston Scientific With Issuance of New Pretrial Order, Bernstein Liebhard LLP Reports

According to a Pretrial Order issued on April 23rd, the Court has established deadlines for the completion of written discovery, motions practice, and other matters pertaining to the consolidated trial of five vaginal mesh lawsuits involving Boston Scientific’s Pinnacle Pelvic Floor Kit. Among other things, the Order indicates that a Pretrial and Final Settlement Conference will be held prior to the start of the trial on September 18, 2014. The trial is scheduled to begin on September 29, 2014, at 8:30 a.m. (Case No. 2:13-cv-07965)

Mr. Grand was also appointed Co-Liaison Counsel in two consolidated proceedings established for C.R. Bard and Ethicon mesh lawsuits in New Jersey’s Atlantic Superior Court. He was also a member of the trial team on the first Ethicon trial, which ended in March with an $11 million verdict for the Plaintiff.
