FEI Announces Partnership with IMPACT
Milwaukee, Wisconsin (PRWEB) September 15, 2015 -- FEI Behavioral Health, a social enterprise with a 35-year history and a leader in workforce resilience from EAP to crisis management, announces its partnership with IMPACT, Inc., a leading nonprofit family service agency in Milwaukee.
Common cultures, nonprofit connections and deep Milwaukee ties led both organizations to work more closely together while playing to individual strengths. As a result of the collaboration, FEI now manages all Employee Assistance Program (EAP) operations for IMPACT customers—nearly 50 organizations in southeastern Wisconsin, many with a national presence.
“Collaborating with IMPACT is very exciting for us,” said Ted Uczen, president and CEO of FEI. “The opportunity to combine our focus on workforce resilience with IMPACT’s family of services in the community means customers keep the strong local structure and connections of both companies, while gaining national reach and resources through FEI’s network.”
Michael Davis, president and CEO of IMPACT, said forming the connection with FEI was the right step.
“It is extremely important to IMPACT that the customers of our former Workplace Services division are now in the care of an organization with similar values and culture to our own. IMPACT has built a solid reputation based on our approach to customer service, and FEI has demonstrated its commitment to delivering an EAP that puts the needs of the individual first,” said Davis. “IMPACT is now in the position to focus on the regional expansion of our 2-1-1 resources, alcohol and drug abuse programs (AODA), and planning and evaluation services.”
One of those customers is car dealership Russ Darrow. “We’re looking forward to expanded services for our EAP program, as well as the additional services FEI brings to the table, particularly around the workforce resilience spectrum,” said Deanna Deutsch, human resources director. “We’ve enjoyed a good working relationship with IMPACT and now we’re very excited to be working with FEI.”
Milwaukee Center for Independence also shares in the excitement. “For two decades, IMPACT has provided our employees with a safe, confidential and supportive environment for effectively addressing their personal concerns. We have always had a high degree of satisfaction and continue to experience that with FEI,” said Greg Bachrach, vice president of human resources for the organization, which assists individuals and families with special needs to better live and work in the community.
INTERNATIONAL EXPERTISE, LOCAL CONNECTIONS
For more than 35 years, FEI has offered flexible, proven solutions for the full spectrum of workforce resilience goals, from EAP and wellness services to crisis preparedness and management. FEI developed the first national network to deliver EAP in 1979 and remains a market leader. The company integrates its mental health expertise and critical incident experience to provide emotional support and assistance in times of crisis both onsite and by phone.
THE SOCIAL ENTERPRISE DIFFERENCE
A social enterprise is a unique business model that creates synergy between for-profit and nonprofit organizations, where profits earned by the for-profit company are automatically reinvested into the community through the services of the nonprofits.
FEI’s involvement with its parent organization, the Alliance for Strong Families and Communities, is one of the nation’s most successful examples of the social enterprise model at work. In the last 35 years, FEI has contributed more than $30 million to the Alliance and has helped to fund services and resources for thousands of nonprofit agencies across the country.
As an additional aspect of the collaboration, IMPACT is joining the Alliance network as a member and will gain the benefit of resources, networking and support to leverage on behalf of its customers and to reinforce its regional growth in the 2-1-1 network and AODA programming.
The new relationship between FEI and IMPACT heightens community impact through this social enterprise approach.
“Not only does FEI provide excellent service to our customers,” Uczen said, “We help them essentially double their community impact by investing in local nonprofit services through our social enterprise approach. Workforce resilience leads to business resilience, which in turn leads to community resilience. This rings true with IMPACT, and we look forward to an even deeper involvement in the Milwaukee community.”
