FidelityLink Completes Fiber Ring and WAN Services to Pattonville School District
St. Louis, MO (PRWEB) September 17, 2014 -- FidelityLink, LLC has announced completion of a metro-fiber ring serving portions of Maryland Heights, St. Ann, Bridgeton and Creve Coeur, Missouri, and providing wide area network (WAN) services to Pattonville School District’s ten locations.

Pattonville’s private WAN serves as the backbone for all of Pattonville’s internal communications, including voice, data, Internet and video, and will support the District’s future technology and bandwidth requirements, including state MAP testing requirements. Pattonville’s WAN is designed in a ring topology with dual entrances into each of the District’s locations, ensuring that no location has a single point of failure. Because the WAN uses fiber strands dedicated to the District, the network is secure and all available bandwidth is dedicated to the District’s use. The District’s backbone is currently provisioned at 10 Gbps, but the District has the ability to increase that bandwidth at any time through simple equipment upgrades.
“This ability to upgrade without the contract re-negotiation typical of other providers, like incumbent telephone or cable companies, is a ‘game changer’ for our customers, and enables them to control their own data destiny,” O’Neal said. Leveraging the know-how of its affiliated operations, FidelityLink is in the process of deploying voice, Internet, video and other layered services over this network.
