Fifth Annual Okularfest Takes Over Southern California
Pasadena, CA (PRWEB) September 02, 2016 -- Okularfest, a seven-hour symposium covering advances in diagnosis and treatment of anterior and posterior segment diseases, will be enjoying its fifth year in Southern California on October 2, 2016. This one-day event, created by the doctors of the Retina Institute, a partner of Acuity Eye Specialists, is the largest single day Continuing Education forum to be offered on the West Coast of the United States.
“We are excited to bring back this high quality event for the fifth year in a row,” said Erika Aragón, Retina Institute Marketing Director. “Last year we had over 900 attendees and we expect close to 1,000 this year.”
In order to attract top-notch expertise from across the country, the Retina Institute has once again partnered with Wolfgang Fink, PhD, in the Division of Physics, Mathematics and Astronomy at the California Institute of Technology.
Twenty eye surgeons will be presenting on a variety of topics from retinal vascular disorders and femtosecond technology, to the latest in OCT scanning lasers to stem cell research. Physicians speaking at the symposium have been trained at the Doheny Eye Institute, Jules Stein, Bascom Palmer and Washington University Medical Center, among other prestigious organizations.
The event will be held at the Caltech Beckman Auditorium in Pasadena, California from 7am to 5pm with breakfast and lunch served. In addition to being a quality learning experience, the event will provide Continuing Education credits and an excellent networking opportunity for our attendees.
