Cinch Polls, with backing from Google Ventures, is a one-tap voting app that makes it easy for its members to give and gather feedback on any image-based questions. It's Instagram meets SurveyMonkey, and today the company unveiled a major update that will enable everyone from fashion bloggers to sorority sisters to create their own private opinion panels from their phones. With new profiles, group polling, and in-browser voting, it could replace SMS, email, and clunky survey services as the single best way to collect group responses.

Having quietly launched as a private polling app last Fall, Cinch Polls recently introduced the ability to send polls to the entire Cinch Community so that anyone with a question can get instant answers about what looks best. This means members can get quick, unbiased style advice at any hour of the day, not just when their friends are available. Here’s how it works: members add any set of their photos or screenshots to a poll from inside the app. They then choose whether to send the poll privately to groups of friends, or publicly to the community of other creative people on Cinch. Members can also post the links to the poll in SMS, email, Facebook, or Twitter. Friends can vote in one tap, and only then will they see the results, which means members can be confident that they're seeing what their friends really think.
Cinch is an iOS app, but users without iPhones can vote from their browsers when they are sent the link to a poll.
