Boston, MA (PRWEB) March 11, 2015 -- For millions of style-conscious people, choosing the best outfit for a presentation, the right chair for the lobby, or the perfect photo for a cover story is serious business--and there’s no quick and easy way to test which choice will perform best. That’s where a new app called Cinch Polls comes in.
Cinch Polls, with backing from Google Ventures, is a one-tap voting app that makes it easy for its members to give and gather feedback on any image-based questions. It's Instagram meets SurveyMonkey, and today the company unveiled a major update that will enable everyone from fashion bloggers to sorority sisters to create their own private opinion panels from their phones. With new profiles, group polling, and in-browser voting, it could replace SMS, email, and clunky survey services as the single best way to collect group responses.
“We set out to build a community that gives people confidence in making their daily style decisions, but we’ve been surprised by the number of small brands that use Cinch to attract and engage new fans. It makes sense: when brands genuinely seek out feedback, people pay attention and interact at a level you don’t see on other social media,” said Nathan Sharp, CEO, Cinch Polls. “It’s a great way to find new, interested fans, whether you’re an Etsy shop or a budding fashion blogger. We’re just happy to see people from such different creative fields make Cinch their own.”
Having quietly launched as a private polling app last Fall, Cinch Polls recently introduced the ability to send polls to the entire Cinch Community so that anyone with a question can get instant answers about what looks best. This means members can get quick, unbiased style advice at any hour of the day, not just when their friends are available. That’s what makes Cinch a lifesaver for brands, social media managers, and solo shoppers alike.
“I’ve been posting polls on Cinch for more than a month and it’s been a fantastic way for me to not only drive traffic to my Etsy shop, but also to get quick feedback on simple questions to help my business,” said Lydia of Argaman&Defiance. “I’ll poll the community on questions like which fabric do they like best for an infinity scarf or which model shot looks best. It’s been so helpful for me as a one-woman shop.”
Here’s how it works: members add any set of their photos or screenshots to a poll from inside the app. They then choose whether to send the poll privately to groups of friends, or publicly to the community of other creative people on Cinch. Members can also post the links to the poll in SMS, email, Facebook, or Twitter. Friends can vote in one tap, and only then will they see the results, which means members can be confident that they're seeing what their friends really think.
Cinch is an iOS app, but users without iPhones can vote from their browsers when they are sent the link to a poll. This means members can send polls via text, email, Facebook, Twitter and Whatsapp. For more information on Cinch Polls, visit: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/cinch-polls/id907910409?mt=8.
