Financial Services Marketing & Innovation Symposium To Feature Keynotes By CMO of TD Bank and CEO & President of Acxiom
New York, NY (PRWEB) November 22, 2013 -- American Banker announced several key C-level marketing executives will present keynote presentations at the brand’s upcoming Financial Services Marketing & Innovation Symposium, to be held December 5-6 at the Crowne Plaza in New York.
In its 11th year, this annual gathering provides financial service marketers the tools to innovate, discover new customer approaches and increase ROI.
Vinoo Vijay, Chief Marketing Officer, TD Bank, speaking on “banking human,” and Scott Howe, CEO & President, Acxiom speaking on the future of data and the intelligent application of data, will provide two keynote presentations. Meredith Verdone, SVP, Enterprise Marketing & Market President Executive, Bank of America, will discuss the brand’s transformation strategy – both internal and external – and how they are thinking differently to thrive in the Human Era. Leslie Gillin, Head of Citi Cards Sales and Marketing, Citigroup, Maria Veltre, Senior Vice President, CMO, Fifth Third Bank, will also present keynotes.
“Our primary role as marketers and innovators is to guide our institutions toward organic revenue growth. The purpose of the Financial Services Marketing & Innovation Symposium is to showcase approaches used by leaders inside and outside our industry to tackle this challenge,” said Conference Chair, Tim Spence, a Partner in the Retail and Business Banking practice at Oliver Wyman.
A new feature for this year’s event is “Snapshots”–where participants will hear from experts whose data or experience provides sharp insight about marketing challenges. Following a format popularized by the TED conferences, each speaker will offer a few critical insights in an engaging, 15 minute presentation designed to stimulate new thought or generate new perspective. The critical results: sharp actionable insights, supported by data or experience.
“With an aggressive agenda focusing on innovation, customer behavior, digital marketing and experiential design along with social media regulations, we are happy to bring the industry cutting edge topics at a time when customer-centric focus is so important,” said Michele Davidson, Senior Program Manager for SourceMedia. “Attracting C-level marketers and industry collaboration remain a focus for us.”
With the importance of engaging clients on social media becoming more paramount for even the most conservative brands, and the complexities of compliance risk and third party risk increasing, one session in particular will examine the new rules from the Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council (FFIEC). This session will focus on the latest variety of laws, regulations, and policies relevant to financial institutions’ use of social media as well as help attendees navigate this territory.
Speaking about the FFIEC’s guidance on compliance-related risks raised by social media will be:
• Eric Gott, Bank Examiner - Compliance Policy Specialist, OFFICE OF THE COMPTROLLER OF THE CURRENCY (OCC)
• Elizabeth A. Khalil, Senior Policy Analyst, Supervisory Policy Branch, Division of Depositor & Consumer Protection, FDIC
• Jim Rau, Associate General Counsel, SVP, BANK OF AMERICA
The experienced speaking faculty on other topics includes a mix of market leaders:
• Michele Elrod, EVP, Head of Marketing, Regions Financial
• Leigh Anne Kelley, Senior Vice President of Database and Direct Marketing, Regions Financial Corporation
• Kathy Klingler, EVP, Chief Marketing Officer, Sovereign | Santander
