Finavia Corporation renews long term support contract for Ultra Electronics’ UltraCUSE Common Use Passenger Processing System (CUPPS)
(PRWEB) February 20, 2015 -- Ultra Electronics Airport Systems today announced that Finavia Corporation has renewed its long term support contract for Ultra Electronics’ world leading UltraCUSE Common Use Passenger Processing System (CUPPS).
Finavia, who operates and maintains a network of 24 airports across Finland, had a choice of whether or not to renew the support for the existing, recently upgraded UltraCUSE system.
“Having evaluated all of our options, it was clear that Ultra represented the best value solution,” commented Mr Lasse Salonen, ICT Manager with Finavia. “The business case Ultra made back in 2007 that supported the use of a hosted, multi airport Common Use solution on a virtualized platform has proved a success and is a model that still makes clear commercial sense to us.”
“Our strategy at Finavia is to provide a smooth travelling experience for passengers, and Ultra’s Common Use system plays a vital part in making that happen,” said Mr Jarno Putta, Vice President / CIO, Finavia Corporation. “The way passengers check in for flights is changing rapidly but in our view Common Use still has a vital role to play for us throughout our airport network for some years to come, and the pioneering approach from Ultra is the ideal solution for us.”
About UltraCUSE:
UltraCUSE is recognized by both airports and airlines alike as being the world’s leading CUPPS compliant Common Use solution. UltraCUSE is part of the Ultra Electronics Airport Systems Passenger Processing portfolio of solutions that are deployed at more than 50 airports around the world.
