(PRWEB) May 26, 2015 -- Open Media LLC has today launched the free iOS app that helps a user to locate missing items. The app uses iBeacons to help in this location, making the finding of valuable items, simple and fast. This app is one of the first of its kind to use the concept of the Internet of Things in this way.
The mobile app is called Find My Stuff and is available in the App Store now. Simple to install and working with all popular iBeacons, Find My Stuff, brings an end to the misery and stress of locating missing items. The app is based on the concept of the Internet of Things (IoT) and is built to locate items such as keys, wallet, and other easily lost things, but can also be used to keep a watchful eye on valuables such as jewelry, because of a key design feature which sends alerts letting the user know of the whereabouts of an item at any given time. This feature acts to link the person and their mobile to the ‘thing’ creating an effective map of a person’s valuable items.
Alex Miller, head of dev team at Open Media LLC said, “We are proud to announce the first version of our app, Find My Stuff, we designed the app to offer maximum flexibility. The app offers many kinds of notifications, works with a multitude of beacons types, and can locate all kinds of valuable items, saving you the stress of searching for hours. We intend to continue to move in the direction of enhanced flexibility and add even further supported beacon types."
The design goals of Find My Stuff were multiple supported beacons and ease of use across devices. Open Media LLC have designed the Find My Stuff app to support the most popular beacon types automatically, including: Estimote, Kontakt.io, Jaalee, Radius, Roximity, TwoCanoes, BlueUP, BlueCats, Blue Station,Glimworm, Gem Tot and Red Bear B1. Other beacons can also be used in manual mode. Another cool feature is that, Find My Stuff data can be synced between different devices using iCloud.
Find My Stuff is available for iOS in the App Store today.
