Finding answers to prayers in unlikely places
DURHAM, N.C. (PRWEB) January 06, 2016 -- Matthew 6:33 says, “Seek first God’s kingdom and righteousness.” For retired lawyer and longtime Christian David Blanco, the path that led him to this heavenly advice started in an unexpected way.
While facing a difficult decision in his life, Blanco turned to prayer in the hopes of finding guidance from God. About a month after his prayers, he began to look closely at photographs he had taken at a North Carolina beach and became fascinated by the imagery he saw in one of the clouds: the cloud was in the shape of a massive crown with mysterious images abounding.
Although he was initially intrigued by the crown formation he captured on camera, it took more biblical research, reflection and discussion for him to discern the answer to his prayer.
“There are multiple references in the Bible to symbols, signs, and appearances in the clouds,” Blanco said. “I studied them and other portions of scripture in an effort to comprehend the message of the cloud sign. I’m still learning, but I feel called now to share my story.”
Featuring the photographs that inspired him, Blanco’s new book, “The Cloud Sign Miracle,” details his process of investigation, his Christian faith and convictions about the sign, as well as the biblical context that helps support his findings.
“I had prayed to God for a sign to guide me in an earthly decision, and I believe that God answered my prayer in an incredible way,” Blanco said. “It took time to understand His answer, but I finally realized that the Holy Spirit counseled me by reminding me of the advice of Jesus from his ‘Sermon on the Mount’ that rather than storing up treasures on earth, to store up treasures in heaven by ‘Seeking First the Kingdom of God and His Righteousness.’”
