Although its products are available online, the company is based on the home party business. “Our party hostesses are really the people that pull our business together,” Hall said. “Through home parties people have the opportunity to share their leisure time while having a hands-on experience with our products.”
Finger Candy is widely distributed by business owners called Independent Artists. Website customers are encouraged to identify consultants who have reached out to them before ordering online; however, they also have the easy option to order through a corporate account.
“We want to make the process as simple as possible,” Lisa Hall, the company’s co-founder said. “We are dedicated to great customer service and that is what will help sell our products.”
Dave and Lisa Hall are experienced entrepreneurs who have involved their six children in the family business.
In addition to providing full-time jobs for several local residents in a sparse rural setting, the Halls engage the services of their children. Their oldest son, Todd, helps out with computer tasks and graphic arts while Alisha, Brooke, Erica, Cody and Joshua help package and ship products.
“I wanted to create a business that would support the standards and principles we believe in such as family and community,” Dave said. “We have created an opportunity for people who want the flexibility of a career that would allow them to take care of other personal and family obligations while earning a rewarding income.”
