Finger Lakes Technologies Group, Inc. Earns SOC 2 Accreditation
Victor, N.Y. (PRWEB) July 23, 2015 -- In late 2014 and early 2015, AICPA auditors brought in a team of five people to test that the controls that were affirmed in the Type 1 audit were actively being used. For each required control the auditors reviewed evidence either as documentation or as interviews with employees in live systems. The auditors did an in-depth technical review off-site over several weeks going through the evidence in fine detail.
“Completing the SOC 2 Type 2 audit demonstrates our ongoing commitment to security and underscores the investment we’ve made to keep our customer’s data and systems safe,” said Paul H. Griswold, President and CEO of FLTG. “The SOC 2 accreditation is important to our cloud & data center services offered primarily out of the bunkers at FLTG Park in Romulus and at the co-location facility in Phelps.”
FLTG customer prospects primarily in health care, education, municipal, and financial market segments often ask for or require that FLTG share our SOC 2 report along with a COB (continuity of business) plan.
