Fireside Audiobox Launches on Kickstarter to Light your Music on Fire
BEND, Ore., (PRWEB) July 26, 2016 -- Grey Street Design today announced the start of its Kickstarter campaign to introduce the Fireside Audiobox, an innovative home audio system that puts a mesmerizing new spin on the music-listening experience. The Fireside Audiobox combines classic mid-century modern design with standing wave principles, featuring real flames that playfully react and respond to your music's sound waves in real time. The campaign runs through Aug. 26 and aims to raise $35,000 to begin production and distribution of the product.
The Fireside Audiobox is user-friendly, functioning much like a camping stove with considerably less heat, pressure and hot dogs. It comes equipped with a full-range speaker driver and uses a standard 16.4-ounce propane cylinder that feeds a row of 15 flames. The flames immediately move to different heights, responding to the changing frequencies and volume of your favorite tunes.
“When designing the Fireside Audiobox, I wanted to take the mood-setting power of music and add the visually captivating element of fire for the ultimate music-listening experience,” said Tyrone Hazen, lead designer of Fireside Audiobox and CEO of Grey Street Design. “The Fireside Audiobox is the result of over two years of research and development. The final product has become the perfect balance of function, user-experience and beauty that will provide a fun, unexpected ambiance and conversation-starter to your next cocktail party, cozy gathering with friends, or dinner for two.”
The Fireside Audiobox housing is made of environmentally-friendly bamboo, and is designed with a mid-century modern appeal and a slight nod towards industrial. The choice of materials maintains the necessary balance between the organic aesthetic of the wood and the hard, cold, rigid nature of the aluminum and glass components. The tempered, heat-resistant glass is used to reduce the effect of turbulent airflow due to breezes and provides the added benefit of multiple layers of reflection off the glass.
Additional Fireside Audiobox features include:
• Customizable: The lightweight, self-contained audio system stands 19.5 inches high, 14 inches wide and 4.5 inches deep. While the standard version comes donning bamboo, customizable hardwood finishes are also available to complement your home décor.
• Bluetooth-Enabled: With its built-in Bluetooth technology, users are able pair the Fireside Audiobox with any Bluetooth-enabled device for easy music streaming.
• Battery-Powered: More than 8 hours of constant play from included rechargeable onboard battery and power adapter.
The Fireside Audiobox starts at $349 for the first 101 backers, with pricing increasing thereafter. To learn more about the campaign and lock in an advanced early bird price, visit Grey Street Design’s Kickstarter campaign.
