First Anti-Gun Violence Clothing Line, STOP STUFF™, Announces Alliance with Chicago Based Production Company, JMTD Production Group
Chicago, Illinois (PRWEB) September 21, 2016 -- In an aggressive move, emphasizing its leadership as the first clothing line developed to attack gun violence, STOP STUFF™ (http://www.stopstuff.com) launched a partnership with JMTD Production Group in response to over 500 reported homicides in Chicago.
STOP STUFF, featuring hats and other apparel with its provocative stop gun violence logo, is a socially conscious brand that supports non-profit initiatives, and is against violence of all kinds for all people, ethnicities, genders, and professions. Up to ten percent of all sales goes to help victims of violence, their communities, and organizations and events that support non-violence.
Founder of STOP STUFF, Seanne N. Murray, Esq., became close to the non-violent movement through her mentor and advisory board member, Jerry Levin, former Chair of Time Warner whose son was brutally murdered in New York City. About a year later, after watching the Alton Sterling murder in Baton Rouge, Murray launched STOP STUFF to promote the non-violent movement.
While on her way to order the first run of STOP hats, Murray met a man who shared the story of his son being shot to death on a porch in Chicago while sitting with his girlfriend. “STOP STUFF has an energy of its own that invites the opportunity to share and discuss personal stories of tragedy,” said Murray.
“Watching the uptick in Chicago homicides as the city trends toward its deadliest year in a decade, I knew that STOP STUFF had to be there,” said Murray. “Being in the epicenters of violence is imperative to our mission,” Murray added.
Seeking leaders in Chicago with deep ties to the community and understanding of the issues, Murray partnered with JMTD Production Group, a multi-media production company, founded by Chicago natives including its CEO, Jay Williams with over 20 years experience in marketing and a multi-platinum selling and Grammy nominated producer. “When we saw what Seanne was doing, we knew we had to join forces and bring STOP STUFF here to Chicago immediately,” said Williams.
“This is a critical time in our history, where we, as individuals and members of the broader community, must take a stand against violence of all kinds and encourage and support those who are in the field waging that battle on a daily basis,” said Murray. “I created STOP STUFF to send a message to all that we will not and cannot tolerate this surge in violent behavior.”
