First Canadian Nuclear Energy Business Delegation Arrives in Mumbai on November 27, 2013
Los Angeles, California (PRWEB) November 22, 2013 -- A 26-member delegation of Canada’s nuclear energy professionals will participate in a series of trade-related activities from November 27 to November 30 in Mumbai. Participants include representatives of publicly listed companies such as Aecon Nuclear (TO:ARE), AMEC (LON:AMEC), L-3 Communications MAPPS Inc. (NYSE:LLL), and Sulzer Pumps (SWX:SUN). Other delegates from AECL, Cameco Fuel Manufacturing, Candu Energy Inc., CNSC , Kinectrics, OPG, Sartrex, and Thorburn will be part of this first-time trade mission from Canada.
The Organization of Canadian Nuclear Industries (OCI) has retained Amritt, Inc. to provide advice on technical and commercial collaboration in nuclear energy between Canada and India. Amritt interviewed 16 key Indian suppliers in depth last month. Senior staff from OCI, Amritt, the Canadian High Commission and the Province of Ontario will also be part of the delegation.

Canadian experience with aging equipment, upgrades, reliability and security of nuclear power plants can be of value in providing proven cost-effective solutions for current and upcoming concerns in India. OCI members are also able to provide technology, products, insights and guidance for the new heavy water reactors planned for Gorakhpur, Haryana and Mahi Banswara , Rajasthan and Kaiga, Karnataka” said Gunjan Bagla, Managing Director of Amritt Inc., a management consultancy that advises North American and Indian companies on successful collaboration and partnership.
